INSTITUTE OF INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS AND ECONOMIC COOPERATION (IRICE) MARKS THE INTERNATIONAL HUMANITARIAN LAW DAY

The Institute of International Relations and Economic Cooperation (IRICE) has mark down with a public debate and roundtable the celebration of the International Humanitarian Law Day in Romania.

Under the High Patronage of the President of Institute of International Relations and Economic Cooperation Professor Dr. Anton Caragea the public debate on celebrating The International Humanitarian Law Day in Romania has taken place.

The debate reunited diplomats and humanitarians and civic society representatives, under the High Patronage of the President of Institute of International Relations and Economic Cooperation Professor Dr. Anton Caragea, and was dedicated to note and emphasize the importance of respecting international humanitarian law, as a set of rules with the role of mitigating the negative effects of armed conflicts and of protecting the victims.

Also, this is a reconfirmation of the Romania’s attachment to the values of international humanitarian law, under the baton of The Institute of International Relations and Economic Cooperation.

In this context, IRICE President Professor Dr. Anton Caragea, attended today the opening of the round table organized by the Academician Mircea Constantinescu and his IRICE team on the international humanitarian law in the current international climate.

 

On this occasion, The Institute of International Relations and Economic Cooperation President underlined that  IRICE  will continue to act at national and international level in order to improve respect for the international humanitarian law.

Academician Mircea Constantinescu mentioned also the steady support provided by IRICE to the actions promoting international humanitarian law rules among the institutions tasked with responsibilities in this area, as well as among civil society, especially among young people.

 

 

In recognition of his role in promoting international diplomacy and global dialogue the President of Institute of International Relations and Economic Cooperation Professor Dr. Anton Caragea has being recently awarded the NATIONAL ORDER.

The International Humanitarian Law Day is celebrated by The Institute of International Relations and Economic Cooperation, on a yearly basis, starting from 2014, through educational, cultural and scientific actions dedicated to a better knowledge and promotion of international humanitarian law.
