Vizita a avut loc intre 15 si 22 septembrie 2017 si a acoperit  un hiatus istoric in relatia bilaterala, in conditiile in care cea mai recenta vizita semnificativa avusese loc in 1994.

O strangere de mana a solidaritatii si prieteniei: E.S. Presedintele Venezuelei Nicolas Maduro, arhitectul noii diplomatii bolivariene si E.S. Prof.Dr.

Profesor Dr. Anton Caragea in studiourile MIRAFORES TV si Televiziunea Nationala a Venezuelei.

In data de 19 septembrie 2017, Prof. Dr. Anton Caragea a semnat in cartea de onoare a palatului MIRAFLORES

Francisc, casa unde s-a nascut Simon Bolivar etc.
