NEW YORK PARIS TORONTO

International artistic encounter in Bucharest

afis Expozitie arta-

New York, Paris and Toronto encounter for the first time in Bucharest, regrouping one hundred artistic works of painter Gevork Chubaryan, sculptor Françoise Abraham and painter Costa Dvorezky.

Gevork Chubaryan, American artist of Armenian descent, born in Russia in 1985, currently resides in New York, where he graduated from the School of Visual Arts in 2007. He comes from a family with a great artistic tradition, his grandfather, Gukas Chubaryan being widely recognized as a true patriarch of modern Armenian sculpture. In 2006, 2008 and 2009 he held personal exhibitions in Wisconsin, New York and Texas.

Francoise Abraham has had, since 1997, personal exhibitions throughout Europe, Asia and the United States. She is most known and appreciated for her personal technique, colored resin, which she has put up and developed through her artistic work. This new technique is unique in the art market, successfully managing to mix an original mise-en-scene with a sight touch of unusual.

Born in Russia in 1968, Costa Dvorezky currently resides and creates in Canada. He has graduated from the Moscow Stroganov Academy in 1993 and has since participated at numerous exhibitions throughout Europe and North America. Many of his works can nowadays be found in private collections in France, Switzerland, Germany, Spain, Canada and the United States.

The exhibition will be opened for public from 4 to 12 October 2013, the inauguration taking place on Friday, October 4 at 19.00, in the presence of the three artists, at the Romanian National Library in Bucharest, 22 Unirii Boulevard, Mircea Voda Boulevard entrance. Admission is free.

EUROPEAN ACADEMICIAN MIRCEA CONSTANTINESCU PARTICIPATION AT ROMANIA-LAOS BUSINESS COUNCIL OPENING CEREMONY

Today we are here to celebrate the Grand Opening of Romania-Laos Business Council. It is a moment to look into the past and into the future.

Academician Mircea Constantinescu

The bilateral relations between Romania and Lao People’s Democratic Republic entered a new era, developing beyond the usual traditional diplomatic, political, economical and cultural standards.

Romania is a trustworthy member of European Union, integrating itself into the large family of European nations. The highly trained specialists are appreciated all over the world and the boundaries of European Union are only symbolic limits in a globalizing world. And Romania is going global too.

Lao People’s Democratic Republic is a continuously growing and fast developing country. It has all the attributes of a modern nation. The political stability of the country allowed foreign investments and economical relations and partnerships in all areas of activity.

Lao people have access to local and global information, and people all over the world got directly access to information about Lao, about the Lao men and women, about Lao economical potential, culture, religion, history and natural beauties.

During the last years tourism, as an important component of the Lao economy, developed at a tremendous pace. 2012 was the boom in tourism. Prof. dr. Bosengkham Vongdara, the Lao Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism underlined that “tourist arrivals climbed to 3.3 million in 2012, generating income of about US$500 million. Political stability, improved transport and the country’s picturesque scenery make Laos an attractive tourist destination.” This reality is a proof of the synergetic effect of putting information, culture and tourism under the same umbrella, under the same leadership, as part of the Laos national strategic development plan.

We are very proud that Lao People’s Democratic Republic was awarded this year in May, ”The 2013 Best World Destination”, and we are confident that the new Romania-Laos Business Council will bring a significant contribution to the economy of both countries, for the benefit of the well being of the people of Romania and Lao.

We congratulate Mr. Mihai Prundianu, the Council president, for the initiative, and wish him and his team a successful activity together with our Laos partners.

Senator Miron

Inaugurarea Consiliului de Afaceri Romania-Laos, primul pentru intreaga regiune, marcheaza dezvoltarea sustinuta si serioasa a relatiilor noastre economice bilaterale.

Dezvoltarea relatiei diplomatice prin constituirea Consulatului onorific si unirea, in aceeasi persoana a dl.

Anton Caragea va aduce  continuitatea acestui dialog si a acestei relatii in perpetua dezvoltare.

SENATOR VASILICA STELIANA MIRON-VICE-PRESIDENT OF ROMANIA-LAOS GROUP ATTENDS THE BUSINESS COUNCIL OPENING

Today, when we celebrate a moment of maturity in Romania-Laos relations, we can discuss about the events which have made this relation a successful structure for the Romanian diplomacy.

Senator Miron

The inauguration of Romania-Laos Business Council, the first for the entire region, is a sign of the continuous and strong development of our economic bilateral relations.

The development of the diplomatic relation by the creation of the Honorary Council and unifying by the presence of Mr. Mihai Prundianu of the economic and diplomatic structures is a successful model I wish I saw it applied with all countries in the region and with other diplomatic partners.

Choosing Laos was a conscientious and successful choice.

Not only that Laos has the political maturity and the stability required for a sustained development, but it joins with political power with a fast and constantly developing economy, immune to the current world economic crisis.

The high-level visit organized by PhD. Professor Anton Caragea gave the depth and the necessary human dialogue required for this fast development. The following visit program includes an exchange of visits between the foreign affairs ministers and a new visit o a Romanian delegation in Laos, which will include members of the parliament, under the leadership of PhD. Professor Anton Caragea, which will bring continuity to this dialogue and continuously developing relation.

The parliamentary friendship group Romania-Laos will give its full support to the Romania-Laos Business Council and its President, Mr. Mihai Prundianu, a man of real value, which deserves our trust.

Mr. Prundianu, we congratulate you and we wish you success in the creation and management of Romania-Laos Business Council.

Echipa guvernamentala din Laos a reusit sa transforme tara in CEA MAI BUNA DESTINATIE TURISTICA MONDIALA, a reusit sa obtina o crestere economica rapida, tara devenind unul din tigrii asiatici si a inteles importanta relatiei Romania-Laos.

Consiliul de afaceri Romania-Laos  va primii sub conducerea mea substanta organizationala necesara, structura legala si ii va reunii pe toti aceia care inteleg importanta diplomatiei economice pentru relatia speciala de parteneriat dintre Romania si Laos.

Mihai Prundianu-Presedinte
