IRICE PRESIDENT PROFESSOR DR. ANTON CARAGEA IS LEADING THE DELEGATION ATTENDING WORLD CAPITAL OF CULTURE CEREMONIES

A high-level delegation headed by Professor Dr. Anton Caragea, IRICE President will pay a ten day`s official visit to the Kingdom of Cambodia.

 

The high-level visit comes in the context of an ever-expanding and consolidating bilateral relations and brings with it a new dimension of friendship between Romania and Cambodia.

After last year (2016) visit the bilateral relation has intensified with the opening of a cultural center in the Pitesti county, the inauguration  of a bilateral chamber of commerce and in the follow-up on the agreements established last year the Khmer New Year was celebrated as a first in Bucharest and the Kingdom of Cambodia was awarded the honor of hosting WORLD TOURISM  DAY for 2017 and 2018.

Dialogue of friendship and solidarity: H.E. President Dr. Anton Caragea and H.E. Prime Minister Academician HUN SEN of Cambodia.

 

For the official visit of the IRICE President Professor Dr. Anton Caragea, to take place between  December 1st and December 11, 201,7 an all-encompassing program was carved comprising meetings with Cambodian Parliament President, Ministers of Tourism, Agriculture, Development and Environment with the highlights of the visit being the meetings with H.E. Prime Minister of Cambodia Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo HUN SEN and H.M. King Norodom Sihamoni.

Last year, in a consequence of the bilateral meeting, H.M. King Norodom Sihamoni asked H.E. Professor Dr. Anton Caragea to accept the honorable task of representing Khmer culture and image in the world as the Kingdom Global Ambassador, a task joyfully and proudly accepted by H.E. Professor Dr. Anton Caragea in July 2016

A special and complex cultural program was created for the high-level delegation led by IRICE President Professor Dr. Anton Caragea and includes stop-overs at the main cultural and UNESCO heritage zones of the Kingdom like: Preah Vihear, Siem Reap, Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom, Thailand Bay and the mysterious and celebrated Koh Ker.

On December 9, 2017, Professor Dr. Anton Caragea will have the honor of opening with a special allocution the celebrations dedicated to PHNOM PENH-WORLD CAPITAL OF CULTURE AND TOURISM.

 

The inscription of Kingdom of Cambodia capital as one of the cultural and archeological landmarks of humanity it a central moment for the country stature as a world-class cultural hub in the region.

 

Before starting his official journey IRICE President Professor Dr. Anton Caragea stated that his delegation attending this special moment in the life of the Kingdom is a solid proof of a consolidated friendship.

ROMANIA CELEBRATES WORLD TOURISM DAY 2017

Celebrated worldwide since 1980, World Tourism Day is commemorated usually at the end of September each year and hosted in the capital of the country crowned as WORLD BEST TOURIST DESTINATION OF THE YEAR.

 

This year, the Official Celebrations are held in Phnom Penh , the capital city of Kingdom of Cambodia, winner of World Best Tourism Destination designation and in Bucharest on October 4, 2017 with the support of Institute of International Relations and Economic Cooperation of Romania. 

 

 

The main role of the World Tourism Day is to highlight the global significance of tourism as a tool for global development and cultural enlightenment.

Tourism is the greatest educator in the world, stated on the topic the Institute of International Relations and Economic Cooperation President Dr. Anton Caragea.

This is one of the goals of the World Tourism Day celebrations that are being conducted throughout the world.

The event was opened by the President of Institute of International Relations and Economic Cooperation, H.E. Professor Dr. Anton Caragea, who emphasized the cultural and heritage booster and promoter role of Tourism and the links of the sector with the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals as well as the carry torch role of the Global Ambassadors for Tourism and Sustainable Development Goals in the global economic diversification and socially oriented growth.

On this occasion H.E. Professor Dr. Anton Caragea – IRICE President announced that: Global Ambassadors for Tourism and Sustainable Development Goals project will continue unabated until 2030, the year marked by United Nations for the completion of the 17 Goals at world level.

On this occasion was announced that 2018 World Tourism Day theme will be: TOURISM AS A CULTURAL PROTECTOR, emphasizing tourism  role in promoting awareness for cultural and heritage patrimony , in boosting the resources allocated for their maintenance and preservation and in educating future generations on their role as guardian`s and custodians of these world treasures.

In the opening ceremonies for the 2017 World Tourism Day Professor Dr. Anton Caragea has made the long-awaited announcement:  The  Global Ambassadors for Tourism and Sustainable Development Goals programme will continue in the next year and had expressed his support for the decision taken by THE PARLIAMENTARY ASSEMBLY FOR UNITED NATIONS SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS (SDG) to continue upholding the efforts of promoting SDG as tools for international peace, development and inclusive and socially balanced growth.

 

On October 4, 2017 the official ceremonies for WORLD TOURISM DAY have taken place at Institute of International Relations and Economic Cooperation in the presence of President Professor Dr. Anton Caragea and having in observance members of Institute of International Relations and Economic Cooperation, European Council on Tourism (ECTT) and Trade, European Tourism Academy and members of PARLIAMENTARY ASSEMBLY FOR UNITED NATIONS SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS (SDG).

On the same occasion  Professor Dr. Anton Caragea announced the good news that:  the international Campaign for the implementation of 2030 Agenda of United Nations, known worldwide as SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS AGENDA, in the work of parliaments across the world has reached a first milestone, only after a year of existence, with the support of 262 parliamentarians from 22 national parliaments.

The role of Parliamentary Assembly for SDG`s is “to ensure international cooperation, secure the acceptance and to enhance the legitimacy of the United Nations SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS AGENDA and strengthen the elected representatives ( parliamentarians) capacity to act and to be more effectively and directly included into the activities of implementing and financing the programs related to SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS AGENDA.”

“If it comes to offer governance to Global Ambassadors for Tourism and Sustainable Development Goals programme and to insure global cooperation, than the Parliamentary Assembly for SDG`s is the venue for a technical and democratic debate, said Professor Dr. Anton Caragea.

IRAQI AMBASSADOR HOST GALA DINNER FOR ROMANIAN CULTURAL ELITE

On 25 February 2015, at the residence of Iraq Ambassador-Omer Berzinji, a special dinner to honor the representatives of Romanian academic community has taken place.

Professor Dr. Anton Caragea, European Academician Mircea Constantinescu, Rector of Targoviste University- Assistant Professor Calin Oros and his managerial team, a group of Romanian senators (lead by Senator Ionel Agrigoroaei-laureat of ROMANIAN BOOK AWARD FOR 2013)  and from the Iraqi side has attended also a delegation from Kurdistan.

The gala dinner was concluded in a joyful atmosphere and was abundant on cultural discussion`s and also offered to the guest an opportunity to enjoy the full display of Iraqi culinary patrimony.

ROMANIA-DPR KOREA CONSTANT DIALOGUE

A delegation comprising members of parliament, business representatives and academicians under the leadership of H.E. Professor Dr. Anton Caragea, Director of Institute of International Relations and Economic Cooperation held a dialogue with H.E. Kim Son Gyong, Ambassador of Democratic People’s Republic of Korea on the topics of expending cultural, economic and diplomatic cooperation between Democratic People’s Republic of Korea and Romania.

Kim Son Gyong, Ambassador of Democratic People’s Republic of Korea had made an exhaustive presentation of the political, cultural and economic developments in his country, presented also plans for future economic constructions in his country and of his country cooperation with all the nations of the world and intensive development of cultural relations.

Professor Dr. Anton Caragea had conveyed on behalf of Romanian delegation his massage of congratulation for the recent elections held in Democratic People’s Republic of Korea for the election of Supreme People Assembly.

The discussion, held in an amicable atmosphere, where sincere and honest, the Romanian delegation showing their interest in developing economic, cultural and political cooperation between Romania and DPR Korea.

The Romanian participation at the UAE National celebrations had become a permanent event as an expression of the rock-solid partnership and friendship instilled between the two countries.

Professor Dr. Anton Caragea, Director of Institute of International Relations and Economic Cooperation of Romania who lead the Romanian presence at National Day of United Arab Emirates in the last five years held an important program of familiarization with the latest developments in the country and receive first hand information in holding talks with: H.E. Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan-Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development, H.E. Sultan bin Nasser Al Suwaidi-Governor of United Arab Emirates Central Bank, Dr. Nawal Al Hosani-Director of Zayed Future Energy Prize and Masdar City ,H.E. The visit was held between 25 November 2013 until 2 December 2013 and offered a high level political and cultural program destined to offer a large area of information’s to the visiting party.

The program carved for Professor Dr. Anton Caragea included also a high profile visit to Masdar City, touring the premises of the solar powered energy city and getting acquainted with lodging, research and study facilities of the Masdar Institute of Technology and drive testing the latest electric powered car constructed on site.

The cultural side of the program included a visit to universally acclaimed Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Abu Dhabi, Yas Island and Saadiyat Island Cultural Complex and a safari experience on Al Ain desert.

Professor Dr. Anton Caragea was also congratulated for his decision to uphold Dubai City candidature to host World Expo 2020, a decision that was echoed during Paris Seance of International Exhibition Bureau that voted with overwhelming majority to support Dubai as World EXPO 2020 organizer.

 Romania itself and as a part of Europe, is always true to the alliance and friendship with United Arab Emirates and promoting and supporting Dubai candidature for World Expo was a necessary and intricate apart of their long term cooperation, stated Professor Dr. Anton Caragea.

Romania was the second European country to announce his support for Dubai in an impressive ceremony held in the Palace of Parliament and afterwards Professor Dr. Anton Caragea held meeting with Asian, African and European countries during an eight months period promoting Dubai candidature for World Expo 2020.

Supporting Dubai and United Arab Emirates as organizers of World Expo 2020 and constantly attending UAE National Day Celebrations are all testimonies of the strategic friendship that is uniting in a brotherhood spirit Romania and UAE. This connection becomes the strong bridge that is connecting Arabic Golf area and Romania, stated in his concluding remarks Professor Dr. Anton Caragea.
