The international community is celebrating Professor Dr. Anton Caragea achievements in promoting culture and human development as bedrock foundations for achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).

THE INTERNATIONAL DEMOCRACY DAY INITIATIVE has awarded the special diploma for Professor Dr. Anton Caragea marking his role in implementation of SDG`s agenda on world level.

This had come in recognition of Professor Dr. Anton Caragea instrumental role in raising awareness and creating in 2016 the first lessons on Sustainable Development Goals  and the leadership role  in carving out The Parliamentary Assembly for SDG ( institution garnering world parliaments support for implementing Sustainable development Goals friendly legislation in their national legislatures and on international arena).

Combating hunger, poverty, climate change, and gender inequality while promoting good health, education, clean water and sanitation, and decent work and economic growth are just a few of the aims of the recently adopted Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Professor Dr. Anton Caragea had supported and inscribed on the national and international agenda items like: encouraging global citizenship through education; advancing peace and conflict resolution through education; addressing issues of poverty through education; promoting sustainability through education; promoting inter-cultural dialogue and understanding, and the “unlearning” of intolerance, through education.

The latest personality to be honored in a similar manner was Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution, in a special festivity in 2016.

On 9 July 2013 the taking office, protocol meeting, between Prof. Dr. Anton Caragea, Director of Institute of International Relations and Economic Cooperation and H.E. Mohamed Eltayeb Gasmalla, Ambassador of Republic of Sudan, had taken place.


Prof. Dr. Anton Caragea express his heart felted congratulation on the occasion of beginning of mandate of H.E. Mohamed Eltayeb Gasmalla and stated that Sudan has the potential to be the main trading partner for Romania in the North Africa area.

Professor Dr. Anton Caragea had also appreciated that between Romanian and Sudan there are large areas of common interests such as: oil exploitation, land improvement operation, education and an open and substantial political dialogue.

If in the last time the bilateral dialogue had stagnated now we have to overcome this situation and search for new cooperation horizons.

H.E. Mohamed Eltayeb Gasmalla had expressed his appreciation for the encouragement`s offered by Prof. Dr. Anton Caragea and had stated that the Sudanese assessment is similar: the development of the bilateral relation with Romania and the expansion of bilateral cooperation is welcomed and a priority in his mandate.

The dialogue had continued on concrete aspects and analyses of economic, political and cultural bilateral relations and on ways of fostering this dialogue on to the future.

The dialogue led the foundations of a successful diplomatic mandate and charted the ways for a rapid growing bilateral relation.

On 24 April 2012 the cultural and political community of Romania is celebrating the tremendous achievements of ASTANA- Kazakhstan`s capital in the impressive Exhibition: ASTANA- CAPITAL OF THE FUTURE.

Astana-Capital of the future. The fruition of a powerful vision

The Exhibition: ASTANA- CAPITAL OF THE FUTURE is designed to express the Romanian cultural and political community support for the Astana`s bid for hosting EXPO 2017 and to present to Romanian public the new, lofty and impressive capital of Kazakhstan.

Astana is one of the newest city in the world , elected in 1997 as Kazakhstan capital and has rapidly turn into one of the most beautiful , visionary and environmental friendly capital of the world.

Supplementary Astana ( the meaning of the word in Kazakh being Capital city) is representing not only a paramount fruition and an outstanding effort of the Kazakh people, but also an example of world cooperation in the city construction, as 432 worldwide company had being involved during the city construction in this ambitious and peerless project: a capital for the future.

Astana. A new and impressive architecture.  

Bucharest, capital of Romania, is hosting the Exhibition ASTANA- CAPITAL OF THE FUTURE also to impress upon the strategic dimension of Kazakhstan-Romania bilateral relations and to state about the brotherhood feeling between the cities of Bucharest and Astana . Also the exhibition is stressing the feeling that Romania and Kazakhstan are building a common destiny of friendship and cooperation.

The Exhibition ASTANA- CAPITAL OF THE FUTURE will receive the messages of support from Romanian Parliament Cultural Commission, Friendship Parliamentary Group Romania-Kazakhstan, Education, Tourism and Culture Ministries, academic and cultural institutions and representatives of all political parties represented in the parliament.

It is a moment of unity, destined to celebrate a city often referred to as: a world miracle, a city build by the greatest architects of the millennium (Japanese Kisho Kurokawa and british Norman Foster), a city that had received UNESCO recognition as WORLD CITY (1999) and a city that geostrategic is marking the center of Euro-Asian continental giant. Even more important, Astana had emphasized his role as a world decision maker choosing a daring theme: Future of Energy for the EXPO 2017 international exhibition.

House of World Religions : an impressive landmark.

The Exhibition ASTANA- CAPITAL OF THE FUTURE is also the first public display of a Capital city for Romanian public; it is the first city from Central Asia ever presented internationally and is the most important cultural event dedicated to a city, in the last 30 years, in Romania.

The visitors will have the occasion to see world appreciated building such as: World Peace Palace, World House of Religions or famous entertainment center Khan Shatyr and a series of other famous sites that made the city to be inscribed among top 30 cities in the world.

Astana-capital of the future is waiting to be discovered for a week (23-27 April 2012) in the heart of Bucharest as a symbol of the friendship that is uniting Europe and Asia and Romania and Kazakhstan.
