ROMANIA IS THE LEADER IN IMPLEMENTING SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS

The Institute of International Relations and Economic Cooperation start operating in Romania  the WORLD LECTURES series on Sustainable Development Goals.

The President of  Institute of International Relations and Economic Cooperation, Professor Dr. Anton Caragea had signed the official decision on 14 March 2016, in a public ceremony.

The Sustainable Development Goals -SDG are creating a global framework for combating world-wide poverty and insuring an inclusive and developed society on a world scale.

WHAT ARE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS ?

Considering as self evident the fact that: Education is undoubtedly the pillar for the successful implementation and the large acquiescence of the sustainable development goals (SDGs).

The Institute of International Relations and Economic Cooperation (IRICE) endeavors to use the teaching of diplomacy, international relations, economic theory, life sciences, environment, and ecology to raise global awareness and understanding of the SDGs.

Sustainable Development Goals will be the focus of a series of WORLD LECTURES, held annually in different places, regions and countries and reuniting local and global leaders, government officials, and world specialists and addressing the issues of awareness, leading by examples and promotions of sustainable development goals on a world level.

The result of this lectures on SDG wil be presented in the form of a free awarded Certificate on sustainable development goals (SDGs) entrusted to all the participants of the Lectures on SDG.

The WORLD LECTURES on Sustainable Development Goals will focus on giving participants  the essential competencies, skills and multidisciplinary knowledge to become globally responsible sustainable development leaders and managers.

The central point of the series of WORLD LECTURES will be to create awareness on the sustainable development goals (SDGs) among world community members and concerned government stakeholders will improve and sustain interactions between government and the people, thereby setting a platform towards achieving the SDGs by 2030

2015 Lectures on Millennium Development Goals and United Nations Global Compact Initiative draw the attention of Romanian and International stakeholders.

Arrangements for Capacity-Building and Technology Transfer

Transfer of experts and equipment for appropriate learning through capacity building of different stakeholders such as governments, communities, private sector entities, and utilize, according to local conditions.

The effectiveness of the technology transfer will be based on capacity building and enabling environments to enable target stakeholders understanding.

The main issue to be addressed via the WORLD LECTURES on Sustainable Development Goals will be the faults on government officials training and capacity to effectively plan and implement sustainable development projects.

New technology transfer with required capacity would also be adopted to effectively create needed awareness in the minds of all identified stakeholders in response to 2030 sustainable development agenda.

Implementation methodologies

Raising awareness and promoting change-oriented communication based on the implementation of sustainable development goals (SDGs) and targets will be implemented in civil society organizations (CSOs and governmental organizations in response to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

The annual workshop will engage multi-stakeholders in order to enlist them to contribute with their own ideas, strategies and energies, and creating a buoyant  debate on sustainable issues.

This will be achieved by a large range of mediums like:

community mobilizations, CSOs/ government interactive sessions on the SGDs and their targets, media platforms on print/electronic media, capacity building for community stakeholders and government MDAs, publications, banners, flyers, t-shirts, brochures, and the creation of social network platforms, and promotional materials (manuals).

2013 Lectures on United Nations Global Compact Initiative hosted by Institute of International Relations and Economic Cooperation of Romania. 

Coordination mechanisms/governance structure

The initiative is headed by Professor Dr. Anton Caragea President Director General of The Institute of International Relations and Economic Cooperation (IRICE) in coordination with the Directors in charge of communication, economic cooperation and education departments and Public and Nonprofit Administration Department.

IRICE will coordinate all awareness campaigns and programmed  activities with other identified partners and stakeholders and submit report to relevant governments and institutions and partners.

Implementation of activities will be annually controlled and evaluated and will be bi-annually under revamp during a peer review meeting of partners destined to chart the way further, to identify challenges and roads forward.

The main aim of the annual Word Lectures on SDG will be to insure capacity building for community stakeholders and to create  media platforms for wider public sensibilization.

ROMANIA DEVINE UN LIDER IN IMPLEMENTAREA OBIECTIVELOR DE DEZVOLTARE DURABILA (SDG17)

Institutul de Relatii Internationale si Cooperare Economica incepe derularea in Romania a Cursurilor Mondiale de prezentare a  obiectivelor de dezvoltare durabilă (SDG) ale Organizației Națiunilor Unite.

Presedintele Institutului de Relatii Internationale si Cooperare Economica, Profesor Dr. Anton Caragea a semnat decretul corespunzator in data de 14 martie 2016.

Obiectivele de Dezvoltare Durabila constituie un nou cadru de abordare a sărăciei globale și a dezvoltării durabile în anii ce vor urma.

 

Ce sunt Obiectivele de Dezvoltare Sustenabila (Durabilă)?

Sustainable Development Goals

Obiectivul 1: Eradicarea sărăciei de peste tot, sub orice formă a ei

Obiectivul 2: Eradicarea foametei, obținerea siguranței hranei, a nutriției ameliorate și agricultura durabilă

Obiectivul 3: Asigurarea sănătății și promovarea bunăstării la toate vârstele

Obiectivul 4: Asigurarea accesului tuturor la educație de calitate și promovarea învățării pe tot parcursul vieții

Obiectivul 5: Obținerea egalității de gen și încurajarea tuturor femeilor

Obiectivul 6: Asigurarea accesului la apă și a igienei

Obiectivul 7: Asigurarea accesului tuturor la energie la prețuri accesibile, de încredere, durabilă și modernă

Obiectivul 8: Promovarea creșterii economice durabile pentru toți, a locurilor de muncă și a condițiilor de muncă decente

Obiectivul 9: Construirea de infrastructură rezistentă, promovarea industrializării durabile și stimularea inovației

Obiectivul 10: Reducerea inegalității în interiorul și între țări

Obiectivul 11: Transformarea orașelor în orașe pentru toți, sigure, rezistente și durabile

Obiectivul 12: Asigurarea unor modele durabile de consum și producție

Obiectivul 13: Acțiuni de urgență pentru a combate schimbările climatice și impactul acestora

Obiectivul 14: Conservarea și folosirea durabilă a oceanelor, mărilor și resurselor marine

Obiectivul 15: Administrarea durabilă a pădurilor, combaterea deșertificării, oprirea și remedierea degradării solului, combaterea pierderii biodiversității

Obiectivul 16: Promovarea unor societăți drepte, bucurandu-se de pace și dezvolatre pentru toți

Obiectivul 17: Revitalizarea parteneriatului global pentru dezvoltare durabilă.

 

“Obiectivele de Dezvoltare Durabila” vin sa inlocuiasca agenda de dezvoltare internationala “Millenium Development Goals”, al carui termen expira la finalul anului 2015.

Spre deosebire de aceasta din urma, “Agenda 2030” a fost gandita din timp, incepand de la Conferinta ONU “Rio+20”, din 2012.

Totodata, a fost elaborata o ampla campanie internationala de consultare publica a tuturor participantilor.

In cadrul Cursurilor Mondiale de prezentare a  obiectivelor de dezvoltare durabilă (SDG), Institutul de Relatii Internationale si Cooperare Economica  va actiona pentru implementarea  principiilor majore din Agenda 2030 si a stabilit parteneriate cu o serie de organizatii international precum Academia Diplomatica Europeana, Academia Europeana de Turism, Consiliul European pentru Relatii Internationale si Consiliul Europei pentru Turism si Comert, autoritati publice, companii, organizatii ale societatii civile etc.

THE PROTOCOL MEETING BETWEEN PROFESSOR DR. ANTON CARAGEA AND AMBASSADOR TAJUL AMAN MOHAMMAD

On March 11, 2016, the taking office protocol and presentation meeting between Prof. Dr. Anton Caragea, President Director General of Institute of International Relations and Economic Cooperation of Romania and H.E. Tajul Aman Mohammad, Ambassador of Malaysia in Romania had taken place.

Prof. Dr. Anton Caragea express his heart felted  congratulation on the occasion of beginning of mandate of  Mr. Tajul Aman Mohammad, appreciating that Romanian and Malaysia are enjoying a long and productive history of cultural, economic and political cooperation and a large area of dialogue, destined to be conducive to a good understanding  between the two nations.

 

The Romania- Malaysia cooperation has the ability to become an example of building an economic and cultural exchange area between East Asia and Romania, remarked Professor Anton Caragea.

Now it is an auspicious moment to enliven the diplomatic dialogue and friendship between Romania and Malaysia, as we are witnessing the political and economic will for such an improvement.

H.E. Tajul Aman Mohammad remarked with satisfaction and appreciation the encouragement`s offered by Prof. Dr. Anton Caragea and had stated that: the wish and desire for an economic, politic and cultural special friendship between Malaysia and Romania is a common shared vision.

The dialogue had continued on concrete themes for economic actions such as: cooperating on tourism and trade in the framework offered by European Council on Tourism and Trade decisions, in order to promote bilateral tourism and investments related to tourism sector.

 

Other spheres of economic cooperation where highlighted on agricultural sector and on communication, mobile technology and other areas of high technology where Romania is having an international recognized know how.

IRICE President accepted to meet with a parliamentary delegation from Malaysia in order to promote cooperation on this level of parliamentarian and democratic institutional dialogue.

During the meeting where tabled also different aspects and analyses of economic, political and cultural bilateral relations and on ways of fostering this dialogue on to the future.

The all-encompassing dialogue created the foundations for a successful diplomatic mandate of H.E. Ambassador Tajul Aman Mohammad and created the necessary environment to foster the relations between Romanian and Malaysia and constitutes a promise for re-launching a traditional Romanian diplomatic action towards Malaysia.

INTREVEDEREA PROTOCOLARA PROF. DR. ANTON CARAGEA-AMBASADOR TAJUL AMAN MOHAMMAD

In data de 11 martie 2016, ambasadorul Malaeziei in Romania, E.S. Tajul Aman Mohammad si-a inceput misiunea la Bucuresti cu  intrevederea protocolara, de prezentare, cu Prof. Dr. Anton Caragea, Presedintele Director General al Institutului de Relatii Internationale si Cooperare Economica.

Prof. Dr. Anton Caragea a prezentat felicitarile sale,  cu ocazia inceperii mandatului domnului Tajul Aman Mohammad,  apreciind ca intre Romania si Malaezia exista o lunga traditie plina de rezultate pozitive de cooperare politica si dialog cultural precum si o  larga arie de interese comune, menite a garanta o buna intelegere intre cele doua tari.

 

Relatia intre Romania si Malaezia are posibilitatea de a fi un exemplu, pentru construirea unei zone de schimburi culturale si economice intre Romania si Asia.

Acum exista momentul propice pentru reluarea dialogului bilateral si ridicarea lui la nivelul asteptarilor celor doua popoare, deoarece exista vointa bilaterala, necesara acestei dezvoltari.

Excelenta Sa  Dl. Tajul Aman Mohammad a apreciat  cu satisfactie incurajarile venite din partea Prof. Dr. Anton Caragea  si a apreciat ca viziunea din partea malaeziana este similara : Romania trebuie sa isi ocupe economic, cultural si politic, locul privilegiat in relatia cu Malaysia.

Dialogul a continuat pe teme concrete, fiind analizate principalele arii de actiune economica precum: cooperarea in cadrul de actiune oferit de Consiliul European pentru Comert si Turism (EUROPEAN COUNCIL ON TOURISM AND TRADE), pentru a promova turismul si investitiile in domeniu.

 

Alte puncte de cooperare economica au vizitat investitiile in agricultura, unde o delegatie malaeziana este asteptata pentru contracte in luna martie 2016.

A mai fost vizata si cooperarea in domeniul tehnologiei  comunicatiilor si telefoniei mobile.

In cursul dialogului a avut loc o analiza a relatiilor  politice si culturale dintre cele doua tari si a metodelor practice de dezvoltare a acestora in viitor.

Presedintele IRICE a acceptat sa primeasca, in luna martie, vizita unei delegatii parlamentare din Malaezia pentru a promova cooperarea si pe acest palier al dialogului democratic.

 

Dialogul cuprinzator a pus bazele  unei mandat de succes pentru , E.S. Tajul Aman Mohammad si pentru dezvoltarea relatiei intre Romania si Malaysia.
