IRAQ AMBASSADOR: OMER BERZINJI-SELECTED AS BEST AMBASSADOR FOR 2013

On 27 February 2013, at the headquarters of Institute of International Relations and Economic Cooperation of Romania ,the academic and parliamentary committees held their session, under the leadership of Professor Dr. Anton Caragea.

The session was convened to discuss the selection process for electing the BEST AMBASSADOR FOR 2013.

The main election criteria`s where highlighted as being: the promotion activity, the internal recognition inside Romania of the personality of the ambassador, the importance of bilateral relations and the relevance and significance of the bilateral activity, initiated under the leadership of the ambassador etc.

Taking under considerations all the criteria`s, in unanimity, the academic and parliamentary committee has decided to recommend as BEST AMBASSADOR FOR 2013 the name of H.E. Omer Berzinji-Iraq Ambassador to Romania.

The parliamentary and academic committee has considered the powerful role played by Ambassador Omer Berzinji in achieving the successful visit of Minister of  Foreign Affairs of Iraq-H.E. Hoshyar Zebari, in October 2013, the successful cooperation visit of the first ever delegation of foreign affairs department of Government of Kurdistan, under the leadership of Mr. Falah Mustafa Bakir, the brisk and vigorous increase in the number of economic, politic and cultural delegations from Iraq that toured Romania in the last year.

Statistically speaking, the number of Iraqi delegation`s, in the last year, has surpassed the number of Iraqi official visits in the last ten years.

Taking under considerations this outstanding achievements and to bolster the traditional Romanian-Iraqi friendship and to mark the increase interest of Romania in promoting further the bilateral relation, the academic and parliamentary committee decided to host in the Romanian Parliament the official ceremony of bestowing the title of BEST AMBASSADOR FOR 2013 to H.E. Ambassador Omer Berzinji and to offer a public acknowledgement to his role in promoting a successful bilateral relation.

On 28 February 2013 a jointly academic and parliamentary delegation, lead by Professor Dr. Anton Caragea-IRICE Director and Senator Ionel Agrigoroaei-Chairman of senatorial committee, official announce to H.E. Ambassador of Iraq- Omer Berzinji, the unanimous decision to award him the title of BEST AMBASSADOR FOR 2013 for his strenuous diplomatic efforts and to wish him more successes in the promotion of role and correct image of Iraq amongst Romanian people.

H.E Ambassador Omer Berzinji had express his joy and satisfaction for this decision and stated that: this vote is just a recognition of the Iraq standing in the world, a confirmation of the efficient visit of H.E Foreign Minister of Iraq- Hoshyar Zebari    and of the prestige that his country had retained in the heart of the Romanian people.

Are not my achievements, had modestly stated the ambassador, but there are the achievement`s of my country that are honored by this title and this selection.

The dialogue had continued in an open and amicable atmosphere, discussing the practicalities of the official ceremony held under the patronage of the Romanian parliament. Other themes of discussion marked the economic, cultural, diplomatic and parliamentary opportunities for cooperation opened between the two countries, in order to continuously develop the Iraq-Romania relation, a fundamental bond for Romanian activity in the Middle East region.

AMBASADORUL IRAKIAN:OMER BERZINJI SELECTIONAT DREPT CEL MAI BUN AMBASADOR PENTRU 2013

In data de 27 februarie 2013, la sediul Institutului de Relatii Internationale si Cooperare Economica ( IRICE), consiliul academic si parlamentar al IRICE, sub conducerea Prof.Dr. Anton Caragea, s-a intrunit pentru a lua in discutie alegerea celui mai bun ambasador pentru anul 2013.

Principalele  criterii sunt: activitatea de promovare a statului respectiv, gradul de recunoastere interna a personalitatii ambasadorului, importanta relatiilor bilaterale, relevanta actiunilor de cooperare bilaterala initiate etc.

Luand in calcul toate aceste elemente, in unanimitat consiliul academic a decis alegerea Excelentei Sale Ambasadorul Irak-ului-Omer Berzinji pentru titlul de CEL MAI BUN AMBASADOR AL ANULUI 2013.

Consiliul academic si parlamentar a luat in calcul rolul ambasadorului Omer Berzinji in realizarea vizitei ministrului afacerilor externe al Irakului dl. Hoshyar Zebari in  octombrie 2013, invitarea primei delegatii a departamentului de externe al Guvernului din Kurdistan in Romania (delegatie condusa de directorul departamentului-dl. Falah Mustafa Bakir), cresterea numarului de delegatii economice, politice si culturale intre cele doua tari, astfel incat, intr-un singur an (2013), numarul de delegatii irakiene ce au vizitat Romania, a depasit totalul delegatiilor din ultimii zece ani.

Pentru toate aceste realizari si pentru a ilustra totodata prietenia traditionala romano-irakiana si interesul crescut al Romaniei pentru stimularea relatiilor bilaterale si promovarea lor in continuare, consilul academic a decis sa organizeze, in cadrul Parlamentului Romaniei, ceremonia de inmanare publica si de recunoastere a meritelor Excelentei sale-Omer Berzinji drept CEL MAI BUN AMBASADOR AL ANULUI 2013.

In data de 28 februarie 2013, o delegatie academica si parlamentara condusa de Prof.Dr. Anton Caragea-Director IRICE si de senatorul Ionel Agrigoroaei-Presedinte al comisiei senatoriale, a comunicat in mod oficial Excelentei sale Omer Berzinji-Ambasadorul Republicii Irak in Romania, decizia unanima de acordare a titlului de CEL MAI BUN AMBASADOR AL ANULUI 2013 pentru eforturile sale diplomatice, incununate de succes si i-au urat sa continue activitatea sa in promovarea rolului si a imaginii Irakului in Romania.

Excelenta Sa dl. Ambasador Omer Berzinji si-a exprimat bucuria fata de aceasta decizie, in care a declarat ca vede in primul rand o confirmare a pozitiei Irakului in lume, a eficientei vizitei dlui. Hoshyar Zebari- Ministrul Afacerilor Externe al Irakului in Romania si a prestigiului de care tara sa se bucura in inima poporului roman.

Nu e meritul meu, a declarat modest ambasadorul, ci al tarii mele, care este onorata prin acest titlu si prin aceasta alegere.

Dialogul a continuat pe tema pregatirii ceremoniei oficiale, sub patronajul Parlamentului Romaniei si a oportunitatilor de cooperare parlamentara, diplomatica si economica dintre cele doua tari, pentru a dezvolta in permanenta relatia intre Romania si Irak, o relatie fundamentala pentru politica romaneasca in zona Orientului Mijlociu.

MONTENEGRO OPENS HIS EMBASSY IN ROMANIA

On 4 March, 2014 a protocol meeting, on the occasion of the opening of Montenegro Embassy to Romania, was held between Prof. Dr. Anton Caragea, Director of Institute of International Relations and Economic Cooperation and H.E. Milan R. Begovic, Ambassador of Montenegro.

Prof.Dr. Anton Caragea express his full heartedly congratulation for the opening of Montenegro Embassy to Romania and assessed that Montenegro could be an important economic and political partner to foster the dialogue between Romania and West Balkans and it was the time to amplify the diplomatic dialogue in order to sustain a development in economic, trade and touristic exchanges between the two countries, stated Professor Dr. Anton Caragea.

The Romania- Montenegro relationship has the ability to become an example of building an economic and cultural exchange area between Romania and West Balkans region.

Now it is an auspicious moment to promote economic exchanges, to fully exploit touristic potential of Montenegro, to encourage economic investment and to create a bilateral Business Council, all this being objectives established by the political authorities in the two countries, concluded Professor Dr. Anton Caragea. The fact that there is a clearly manifested political will in the support of this bilateral agenda is a joyful fact, observed by all the parties.

H.E. Ambassador Milan R. Begovic had expressed his appreciation for the encouragement`s offered by Prof.Dr.Anton Caragea and had stated that the vision of a economic, politic and cultural special relationship between Romanian and Montenegro is a common shared vision.

The dialogue had continued on concrete proposals of economic, political and cultural bilateral relations and on ways of fostering this dialogue on to the future.

The main topics had concentrated on increasing the bilateral trade volume, promoting economic investments, developing the legal framework for economic activities and expanding tourist liaisons and fully exploiting Montenegro special tourist potential, launching the bilateral cultural exchanges etc.

The dialogue had concluded in an open and amicable atmosphere.

MUNTENEGRU ISI DESCHIDE AMBASADA IN ROMANIA

In data de 4 martie 2014 a avut loc intrevederea protocolara de prezentare, prilejuita de inaugurarea Ambasadei Muntenegru in Romania, intre Prof.Dr.Anton Caragea, Directorul Institutului de Relatii Internationale si Cooperare Economica  si Milan R. Begovic, Ambasadorul Muntenegru in Romania.

Prof.Dr.Anton Caragea a prezentat felicitarile sale cu ocazia inaugurarii ambasadei statului Muntenegru in Romania, un moment deosebit in relatia bilaterala,  apreciind ca Muntenegru poate fi un important partener economic si politic pentru Romania in regiunea Balcanilor si ca era timpul pentru aparitia unei legaturi diplomatice directe, pentru amplificarea relatiilor economice si politice dintre cele doua tari si pentru consolidarea legaturilor europene ale Muntenegrului, a apreciat Prof.Dr.Anton Caragea.

Relatia intre Romania si Muntenegru are posibilitatea de a fi un exemplu, pentru construirea unei zone de schimburi culturale si economice intre Romania si zona Balcanilor de Vest.

In special dezvoltarea relatiilor economice, amplificarea schimburilor turistice si crearea unui Consiliu de Afaceri intre cele doua tari, acestea sunt principalele prioritati pe termen scurt, stabilite la nivelul autoritatilor celor doua state, au apreciat Prof.Dr.Anton Caragea si Ambasadorul Milan R. Begovic, care au salutat totodata vointa politica bilaterala pentru asigurarea unei astfel de dezvoltari rapide.

Excelenta Sa Milan R. Begovic a apreciat incurajarile venite din partea Prof.Dr.Anton Caragea  si a apreciat ca viziunea asupra relatiei bilaterale din partea Muntenegrului este similara: Romania trebuie sa devina economic, cultural si politic, un interlocutor privilegiat in relatia cu Muntenegru.

Dialogul a continuat pe teme concrete, de analiza a relatiilor economice, politice si culturale dintre cele doua tari si a metodelor practice de dezvoltare a acestora in viitor.

Principalele teme au vizat dezvoltarea cooperarii turistice bilaterale, cresterea volumului schimburilor economice si a investitiilor reciproce si constituirea unui cadru formal, de incurajare a cooperarii economice, mai buna exploatare a potentialului turistic muntenegrean si lansarea schimburilor culturale bilaterale.

Dialogul s-a desfasurat intr-o atmosfera deschisa si prietenesca.
