ROMANIA-KAZAKHSTAN BUSINESS COUNCIL OPENING : A SUCCESS FOR ROMANIAN ECONOMIC DIPLOMACY

On 4th of October 2012 the official opening of Romania –Kazakhstan Business Council had taken place. In the presence of H.E. Talgat Kaliyev, Charge d`affairs of Republic of Kazakhstan to Romania and of H.E. Professor dr. Anton Caragea , Director of Institute of International Relations and Economic Cooperation of Romania the ceremony of nomination of Mr. Gruia Stoica , President of Grampet Group as Chairman of Romania-Kazakhstan Business Council   has being finalized.

The event has taken place on the premises of the new Romania-Kazakhstan Business Council   organized by Grampet Group.

The ceremony was directed by   Professor dr. Anton Caragea, Director of Institute of International Relations and Economic Cooperation, in attendance being present many economic and diplomatic life personalities among them being noted H.E. Ambassador of Iraq Dr. Mohameed Saeed al-Shakarchi (voted as BEST AMBASSADOR FOR 2011), H.E. Charge d`affairs of Venezuela Zulay Coromoto Prieto de Rodriguez, and other diplomats specially invited by  nomination only of Professor dr. Anton Caragea.

The Romania-Kazakhstan Business Council is the second business council organized in Romania after the Romania-United States Business Council, having the role to promote bilateral economic exchange and to strengthen the cooperation between the two economies, as a new illustration of the strategic partnership between the two countries.

Professor dr. Anton Caragea , Director of Institute of International Relations and Economic Cooperation had declared in his opening speech that: we are witnessing an important moment in the bilateral relation, the Romania-Kazakhstan Business Council   is the proof of a working economic relationship. Kazakhstan is the main contributor to Romanian budget by Rompetrol company revenues to Romanian state budget exceeding 1,5 billion euro annually. Also Kazakhstan had offered to Romanian investors a rapid developing market being ranked among the first three world economy in terms of growth rates and among 50 investment destinations accordingly to World Bank statistics.

As such the Romanian business community must understand the utility of their presence in the  Romania-Kazakhstan Business Council, must also realized that the future of our exports is not to be fund on the crisis hit market of European Union, but on the developing markets of Central Asia among the richest being Kazakhstan.

Also we must emphasize that the Romania-Kazakhstan Business Council is having in the person of his Chairman, Mr. Gruia Stoica a dynamic organizer, skilled and efficient and on the first visit, that will take place this year in Kazakhstan of a delegation of Romania-Kazakhstan Business Council he will already receive a wealthy agenda of business offers, concluded Professor Dr. Anton Caragea.

H.E. Talgat Kaliyev , Charge d`affairs of Embassy of Kazakhstan to Romania had stated that: The Government of Kazakhstan firmly support the initiative of creating the Romanian-Kazakhstan Business Council  and salutes the implication on behalf of Romanian side of the powerful economic  Grampet Group and of a economic mastermind in international business area such as President  Gruia Stoica.

The Romania-Kazakhstan Business Council is a proof of an efficient bilateral relation and will be showcased to President Nursultan Nazarbayev  as a success initiative, a bridge of cooperation among our nations.

The President of Romania-Kazakhstan Business Council Mr. Gruia Stoica, President of Grampet Group had presented the future strategy of the Council: The relation between Romania and Kazakhstan is of strategic importance. Kazakhstan is ranking among the greatest foreign investors to Romania. Companies from Kazakhstan had invested in Romanian economy more than 3 billion dollars, which is the greatest investment by Kazakhstan in Europe. They are up to date more than 35 mixed Kazakh –Romanian enterprises activating in economy domains such as: oil, gas, construction and transportation.

They are also 13 Kazakhstan owned company activating in Romanian economy and over 20.000 Romanians are living in Kazakhstan.

Kazakhstan is today the heart of Central Asia and by Romania, via the Constanta Port the Kazakh goods could enter to Europe.

In my capacity as President of Romania-Kazakhstan Business Council I imposed upon me to connect the two economic heartlands: Romania and Kazakhstan declared Mr. Gruia Stoica- Grampet President.

 Is a special relation that must be cherished and developed, concluded Mr. Gruia Stoica.

H.E. Ambassador of Iraq Dr. Mohameed Saeed al-Shakarchi ,  BEST AMBASSADOR TO ROMANIA IN  2011, had presented a speech of congratulation on the opening of Romania-Kazakhstan Business Council a momentous achievement for Romanian economic diplomacy and a moment dear to any diplomat,  a moment of friendship among two nations Romania and Kazakhstan.

Also the ambassador had extended his congratulation to the newly appointed President of Romania-Kazakhstan Business Council: Mr. Gruia Stoica.

The Grampet Group had succeeded in a short span of time to draw an iron road that is uniting Europe from the North Sea to Black Sea and Aegean see. Our final objective is to connect the Atlantic Ocean to Pacific Ocean and from this point of view Kazakhstan is the perfect partner.

 Kazakhstan is ranking today as the main economic partner of Romania in Central Asia region and is considered among top three economies of the world in 2011 and 2012 as rate of growth. Also Kazakhstan is the main investor in Romanian economy offering enormous opportunity for future economic developments. Accordingly to World Bank statistic in 2012 Kazakhstan had achieved 47 places from 58, last year, among the world economies as the first ranking destination to do business.

The Grampet Group, lead by Mr. Gruia Stoica is one of the main holdings of Romania, including a series of flagship Romanian enterprises. Also Grampet Group is ranked among the most important regional players in railroad transportation owning properties’  in nine European countries such as; Romania, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Serbia, Hungary , Republic of Moldova, Ukraine, Austria and Germany.

 The European scale of Grampet Group is a strong argument as being the back bone of Romania-Kazakhstan economic relation.

 The ceremony of nominating the Romania-Kazakhstan Business Council President – Mr. Gruia Stoica had being realized under the high Patronage of Embassy of Kazakhstan to Romania and of Institute of International Relations and Economic Cooperation.
